The 'TIMMTIPS' are twist-in filters, which contain besides organic bamboo charcoal also Zeolite (Aluminosilicate) and natural Sepiolite (Meerschaum). This makes them particularly "absorbent" due to the many pores and channels and they reliably absorb unwanted substances such as Cyanide, Tar, Ammonia etc. from the smoke. Since the 'TIMMTIPS' are longer than conventional filter tips, more pollutants are filtered out.
The slit-shaped openings ensure a strong air flow so that the draw remains unaffected. Since ceramic caps are attached to both ends of the filter, it doesn't matter which side of the filter is rolled inwards.
